Senior Accounting Specialist We are a fast-growing startup organization seeking a full-time Sr. Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team. The position is an onsite position, working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. As a growing organization, we offer numerous opportunities for professional growth . Department: Accounting Reports to: Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities : Recognize transactions including lease, acquisition of assets, payroll journal entries based on GAAP and IFRS Review, and reconcile bank statements daily. Review and process payments for accounts payables, taxes, employee reimbursements etc. File sales and use tax returns with state and local government. File business license, withholding taxes, independent contractors etc. Assist in month-end and year-end closing. Assist in business planning every year including expense budget, interest, tax etc. Follow accounting process in compliance with accounting policy. Calculate interest revenue and expenses with compound interest rate. Calculate PV and FV Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in accounting, management or related field and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Intermediate excel skills (Functions, Pivot table etc.) Some accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks etc.) Knowledge of sales, use tax, business license, payroll taxes Total Rewards The job is eligible to participate in GLOVIS EA's outstanding benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) Plan with $1/$1 matching up to plan provisions, as well as generous paid time off. The corporate Tax Manager is eligible to participate in GLOVIS EA's car lease program. The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Accounting Specialist is $60,000-$68,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
