Our busy shop is seeking an experienced Used car technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a Used car technician or automotive technician is desired. Responsibilities: • Offer suggestions to consumers for additional services based on mileage and vehicle history• Lubricate chassis components and check tire pressure and tread depth• Make sure all work areas and the shop floor are clean, and that all safety rules are observed• Maintain shop inventory by recording oil and parts usage and reordering supplies when needed• Perform oil changes and fluid checks on customer vehicles, including draining and replacing engine oil, checking and filling transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids Qualifications: • Experience working on automobiles or as a lubricant technician of a year or more is preferred• Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools, and other garage equipment safely• High school diploma or equivalent• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds (or more) is required• This position requires excellent customer service skills Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 About Company: We are a family-owned dealership that has been in business for 80 years.
